Chris was still laying in bed. He hadn’t gotten any sleep that night, sense he had been up thinking and trying to figure things out.

He sat up and looked at the door, knowing that Audrey was on the other side. He debated with himself whether to let her come in…

Chris took her hands and pulled her onto the bed, “I could never hate you.” He looked down feeling bad, “I just know that this is all my fault, I mean, if I had never gone to college then you would have never lost the baby.” He looked back up at her, regret strong on his face. “Im so sorry, Audrey.”

Audrey smiled despite herself, she wasn’t expecting this at all. Chris was always the person who knew her better than she knew herself and he was forgiving. She looked into his eyes and held his hand tightly. She shook her head in disagreement. “Please don’t blame yourself, it wasn’t your fault Chris. I should have told you. After that happened I decided to change, I wanted to be the girl that could.. I know this sounds stupid but I wanted to be good enough to marry you one day.” Tears formed in her eyes, she tried blinking them back. She never wanted him to feel bad about what happened. “I was going to name him Christopher Thomas Grayson Jr.” Audrey said softly.
